420 transom

   Hi all
Does anyone know if 420's are supposed to have a transom flap? Our old girl had one but we've got hacked off with water spewing through it on light days so out came the fibre glass and it flaps open no more!! Im also having a problem with the self bailer so when i find a suitably small socket thats coming off and its getting a nice new silicon seal before it goes bcak on. Any tips?
