Well, last time I went to Paris, there were so few people speaking French I ended up speaking English for a while... Yeah, I was going up the Eiffel tower... Not so many locals go there for a quick Kir!

My wife and I got by alright in Rome speaking Italian ... didn't work so well in paris though.. wonder why? I just end up sounding like the policeman in 'Allo 'Allo anyway. |

i was never good at french at school by any lenght of the imagination! however when I was working in the vendee(region, not race!!) last summer i perfected my Franglaise! after a few beer's i was sure every french person could understand everything i was saying! looking back, that may not have been the case... you never know i may improve this year! |
