I can forgive the cold, I can even forgive the fact that you have to walk to the Wheatsheaf for a) a decent pint and b) to get served at 15 years old during 420 winter training; but crap coffee and green sausages... no, no thanks; better the devil you know and stick with Rutland / Datchet for a nut freezing session.

Nope everything written about Grafham is true, including the food, I first broke one of my teeth trying to eat something at Grafham, and in the winter of 78-9 we were breaking the ice to get on the water and having to tactically plan you beats according to the ice flows..

It's always been a bit of a soulless place imv.

... that was probably a little known condition called "frostbite of the eyeball"... Grafham is after all, the coldest place on this planet this side of the artic circle !

Actually Jimbo you are right , the coffee was like dogs pi$$ last time i was at Grafham, it was only beaten to the post as the worse beverage i have ever had at a sailing club by the pint of beer i had at...you guessed it Grafham!  It was so bad i hear that Lenny Henry and Comic relief are thinking of pulling some of the money back from Africa in order to try and sort the problem out.  Good thing the pub at the top of the road is top draw!
