A nice atmospheric shot of the 100 in unusual light. Was pretty windy!!!

Nice pics Keith, be interested to know what you consider now (having sailed it for a while) is top-end winds for the 100 (i.e. when you head for the bar instead of the boat park) and vice-versa when it's just not worthing rigging up becuase it's too light.

Kinda weird that launching trolleys are banned at your club BTW Smile guess the grass is soft though

good point about trolleys.
We usually have 2 races so inbetween everyone just rams the boat up the grass. Very novel for me as the club I came from was a rocky beach.
In terms of wind I only have the 8.4 but I have noticed I will sail on this more sheltered strech of water in much stronger winds than on the sea obviously due to little or no waves. Its amazing the difference going out in a howler with no waves to deal with makes. In one recent race we all thought there was a spell of 25 knots blowing and I struggled to keep the boat level and at points was hiking hard with the mainsail right out ragging! I also had my closest ever pitchpole in the bear away where the mast foot was under water but as usual the well behaved 100 popped back up.
Its such a good boat even now on these sheltered waters versus the river Forth where I sailed before.....

so what, apart from having a 'worlds', does having ISAF recognition mean now for the 100's?

As the 100 has been granted isaf status
As well as kudos?? Allows for worlds status. Not sure what else.
