Um im not sure what group i come into???

But i do agree with Sarah aswell because when i started that Spice topic there was two pages but when i didnt check the forum for 1 day there was suddenly 11 pages of nothing at all to do with the topic which had all been written in ONE day by the people who posr 31 a day !

I have to agree - there is a little too much banter for my taste.  But I wouldn't want the forum to become the domain of a few old farts like myself so there's a balance to be had. 

I'd like the banter to be kept more in the bounds of the "Banter" section and some of the chat would be much better held using MSM or ICQ.  Those who like to chat, why don't you give MSM or ICQ a try?  You could sign up using the same user name and these systems will tell you when one of the others has logged on.  Alternatively you could set up your own chat room or forum using Yahoo Groups.

Why don't we try and keep the technical sections like "Dinghy Development" fairly techinical, and the sections for photos mostly photos and comments about photos.  Nobody is perfect so I'm sure we will make the occasional mistake.  Please whatever don't take offence, but we are all friends here let's make it better if we can.  What we don't want is for it to degenerate into something like text messaging because then people will leave and we will have lost an opportunity.

This forum was at it's best when the old 'teenage-gang' (hehehehe!) were on here...Brian, Hurri, Harry, jon and me. aswel as redback, bwd and all the other 'originals!'
not saying that other people shouldn't use the forum, they should, and it's cool to have other people, but only if they treat the forum like it used to be treated, regular but not over-the-top posting. a bit of banter-not too much and alot more discusions based on SAILING topics.
Sorry to moan guys but it had to be said.

yeh, um, you do post way too much, i can't be bothered to keep cheking the site as much as i used to, its all full of your conversations with people. not being horrible but it sued to be different
