Surely it would be more beneficial to bring the weight further forward going down wind. The water looks very flat, and with the boat jumping up and down like that - its only going to slow you down. No? |

Ive seen this boat at Draycote and tbh it seemed to stop far too easily throught tacks and hoists and didnt look quick at all when the wind dropped off. Also the daggerboard is silly! |

Hey, I built that board!
 I would put the other two things down to practise.Simsy, my guess would be the power of the T-foil! The more weight over the foil the faster they're going to go (in this case). Reports say it was pretty choppy which would explain the jumping. How would it jump up and down like that in flat water? Edited by Ross |

Yeah admittedly it looked fine once upto speed, it was just ugly when the wind dropped or at corners!

I sailed against them this weekend and it was quick.
On Saturday in a F3 they overtook me on a tight reach. I was in an out of displacement mode but they wound on the T-foil and flew. The length of the boat slowed them down on the upwind and downwind legs but its a performance step against the other cherubs. They beat me on Saturday but I got them back on Sunday with two bullets.
