    Dear BNS.

    How could you state that Dear Dave is only to increase my post count.  Unlike some members of the forum I am only posting informative and helpful stuff!  I even recently got a PM from that Forum Star Brian congratulating me on a great job.  I am deeply hurt by your comments.

    Despite your threats I will rise above it all AND help you.

    Every Wednesday remind him to go to the pub for his supper because you will be racing your topper and will not be able to cook him his tea.  After three weeks of this ritual you will no longer need to remind him since the (no doubt busty) barmaid at his local will be saying "See you next Wednesday then" as he staggers out of the door, clutching a bag of pork scratchings.

    What is it about the 21st of August that is so important?

    Dear Dave,

    I have a problem. I want to go to the nationals but we don't have a tow bar on our car. I am too young to drive and therefore don't own a car so i can't get a bar fitted and my parents don't have the money to get one fitted.

    what should i do?

    Mmmmm. Not an easy one.  I think that your parents may not be telling the whole truth regarding the money.  I often lie to my daughter, just to keep her quiet, and the no money gag often works. 

    The real problem is that your parents do not want to go to the Nationals.  If they did they would do what any other working adult does when they want something and wack it on the plastic.

    Best to feign depression, be even more miserable than you usually are, leave empty beer cans under your bed, and keep telling your grandparents how mean your parents are.

    This will not help you get to the Nationals, but if you are going to be misearable and having a bad time then in my experience it makes it a lot more bearable if everyone else around you is suffering to.

    it would probably be just as cheap to have one fitted to your own car as to hire one for a weekend or more.

    Er easy find some one with a double trailer that you can hitch a lift from (ok so it depends on what class of boat.) but its what im doing I think im sucessfuly hitching lifts to beligium and spain and hitching a lift for theboat my friend is going to buy two weeks before the event  (this could be amusing)
