It's all a bit like comparing apples and pears.
If you compare a top of the range bmw/ jaguar against a Ford focus. Both do the same job, both fulfil their design brief. But they are built to a different cost point and this shows in the fit and finish. Also sometimes perception can by changed by how companies deal with any problems that do arise. In sailing,I have found, most of the companies mentioned above are quite good at this, with one notable exception. |

Depreciation is a function of both quality and demand. Look around and you can pick up a new Laser for close to £4K, sell it for >£3.5K a year later and buy another, no need to "sail the budget version". For the price of a new sail every year you can have a new boat.
On the other hand, Devoti boats exude quality and class in my opinion, and that's why I'm interested in the D-Zero, provided there's significant momentum from the onset and the entry price is not too restrictively onerous.
