Have you ever seen a laser mast upwind? that bend isn't even close to the elastic limit either. An Al mast can bend quite far before snapping.

Melbourne in the spring. Perfect one day, crappy 10 seconds later......Nice place, though.

Our spring weather is rather changeable. Last night was the coldest November night for 100 years (8.3 degrees). Snow fell yesterday on the Blue Mountains, about 120km inland from Bondi, and in Queensland today. The bizarre thing is that the snow in the Blue Mountains was falling on bushfires sparked about two days before, when it was over 30 degrees.

They don't look hot.  They look cold and dressed for winter.  I'm not sure thats Australia.
