One of our two Aero'ists was out yesterday with his 9 rig on. It went very well, but not well enough to beat a Byte with it's reduced PY.....

No idea. They have carbon in the build, but they are a real step up from previous foils I have had on a smod and a year on the are still near perfect which is encouraging.

Agreed, the best features of those Aero's are the hull and peripherals, quality.. Shame about the rag.

They must good on the 7, but surely they're either over sized or under on the 5 and 9?

Doesnt that have to be a function of any sail power adjustment whether with the same sail or different ones. Laser rudder is too small for a 4.7 in a blow :-0

The Laser Rudder is too small period and has very high load that practically eliminates any feel.

Indeed, which is why an option with a cassette rudder is a little more erm, "sophisticated" |

Hi Turnturtle
I have a cassette rudder on my Phantom and I really dont like it, I would prefer a lifting or if I sailed somewhere else (or was a better sailor) a fixed. So I dont see them as sophisticated just a pain in the ++== for getting of and onto a beach. |
