I need some help if possible.

I have brought a new product to the UK called the 'Seacure Waterproof Bum Bag' and would like to know if it would be of any use at all to the Sailing / Yachting community?

We haven't got much in the way of a marketing budget, but knowing if this product might be useful to this area of enthusiasts will help us to narrow our focus to relevant areas.

Any help or comments / or even suggestions of the best sort of communities to target would be extremely helpful to us.

As a thank you I will send the most helpful poster a 'Seacure Waterproof Bum Bag' as a small thanks for taking the time to help.

Thanks in advance and apologies if this is not posted in the correct place.

Bum Bag? Seriously What do you want to call it that for?

What's wrong with hip pack?

Great product screwed by a lame name..

Trust me, change the name you'll sell twice as many.

Thanks for the feedback. Can you see the product being useful for Sailing / Yachting?  Is it something that would appeal? Do you think it needs to be focused on a different area or is this something that would be a good accessory purchase for the sailing community?

Personally I don't see it as relevant to sailing as it would be in the kayak and burgeoning stand up paddle market.

I can't see kiters or windsurfers using it, although I guess there are certain aspects of sailing that could use it.

It's possibly got some relevance in the orienteering and distance racing markets.

But you still need to do something about the name.

It appears to be too big & bulky for to be worn while sailing & too big to fit through a hatch to store safely.
I wouldn`t buy it for sailing or anything else that I do,Too big,too bulky, too inflexable & GRF is right change the name!!

I can't see any place for that for the dinghy world (I don't want some solid brick attached to me when I'm racing), and you certainly wouldn't need one on a yacht.  So as for sailing, I just can't really see a use for it.

Many thanks for the feedback thus far and judging by it, no one would want a free one anyway.
So, is there any other areas of use this product would be suited to?

Does it have to be restricted a s a bum bag?  It may be a useful waterproof "Safe"  If you could attach it to the boat somehow.  I use Aqua packs to keep my car keys dry at the moment. But something rigid that could be tucked away some where would be good for things like sandwichs etc.

i should imagine something liek that ma already exisit

If I am doing an event I will put my valuables in my car and then use an aquapack for my car key. If I was on the rib, I'd use a decent lunchbox (lock lock ones) and can store it in there.

I do agree with the phrase "Bum bag" it is so 80's. If I were going to buy one I would want to be able to wrap it around something on the boat, rather than having to worry about whether it was going to stay attached to me if I fell in.

Edit - and for those that haven't seen the price on the uk retailer - £26.99
