Hi

I used to see these sailing in my youth,  but  what's the score with the class these days.

Are the worth buying,  aren't they quite fast ?

Cheers

Its an early implementation of the A Class which became a one Design in the UK. . Vey innovative in its day - I believe the class pioneered tortured ply construction. I believe its a bit overshadowed by the true A class these days, which is obviously rather more sophisticated and I think a good bit lighter.

the class is still alive, mainly at Stone SC and Weston SC. Sailed by mainly older guys these days, excpet for me i think im the only youth who sails one.

They're a great boat to sail, very responsive and fun.

Where do u sail?

There's no such thing as bad day on the water!!

Hi Fin, I haven't seen a Unicorn in Ireland since about 1986. Check out www.catamaran.ie and you will see a list of Clubs where we sail cats. Find your nearest and see what is being sailed there. Or contact me at dermot@ that site.

P.S. The A Class cats are based in Cork.
