I went ahead and got a WIP Forward Neo after looking at the various options and trying them on. It was the thinnest on the back with the best fit for me. I like that it is very thin on the back, thicker on the chest and shorter on the front compared to the back which increases mobility in my experience. Seems to be a nice bit of kit but I had to buy from the importer as I found it hard to find one available through UK based shops but that was painless once I phoned them.

I have the Zhik P2 and use it with my Aero. Took a while to get used to it as it is a snug fit. It is longer than you might imagine in length. I like it and wont go back to my Gill. It is expensive, but then all Zhik stuff is expensive. I wont get drawn into the "you can buy better for cheaper". You makes your choice etc.

I was lucky enough to only have 1 dry capsize so didn't test it in the wet stuff.

As for wearing it (the P2), I didn't notice it at all over the course of the day so that must be a positive.

So what did you make of the new Zhik one? Seemed like the 300 fleet had plenty of opportunity to test out the effectiveness of the buoyancy this weekend!!! Was happy to be in a H2 which was enough of a tiger to wrestle with but you boys were having a right old fight.

Got a spinlock wing too, definitely very comfortable and no boom-catching issues in the Europe so far.

Hey Steve - yes I will be at South Cerney this weekend for the open in my blue H2  No 115, would be great to say hi!!

I'll be the one wearing the svelte Spinlock BA! Also, D-Zero 11.

The boom on the H2 is higher than a Finn, but then that is like saying sailing a laser is more comfortable than stapling your balls to the table! As with any boat you need to get under the boom and in light winds you will want to have the rig tension very loose to flatten the sail and rake the rig which results in much less room under the boom. If you want to do a big roll tack or gybe then you will probably hit your back on the way over. Its no big deal but as I need to get a new BA I figured why not ask if people have used the latest low profile BA!

The boom on the H2 looks so high that I thought that you could walk under it without ducking?  Maybe I have got that wrong Wink
