Hi all,
So in the first 6 months of ownership,I've managed to put a few dents in the hull of Musto. Are Musto hulls easy to repair? Should my local boat builder be able to get it looking as good as new? There's no major structural damage - just more or less cosmetic dents.

I'd wait until you stop putting dents in it before worrying!

Yeh I figured that. It was just immaculate when I got it and I've got total new shoes syndrome with it! I'm not a very practical or handy person but, from what I've read, GRP is quite easy to repair. Is that the case?

GRP is very easy to repair if you're not too concerned about cosmetics. AFAIK the Musto is epoxy foam sandwich which is a little trickier if you're not going to end up with it looking like a patchwork quilt. But, any decent boat builder/repairer will be able to sort it for you, it's just not a job for an inexperienced amateur if you want it looking nice.

A pro repair will be virtually unnoticeable, don’t panic!

Epoxy aren't they? So you'll need epoxy repair stuff. GRP is not necessarily universal and if as I suspect they are epoxy sandwich boats they won't like Polyster resin, someone else will have to confirm this I only had one for a while and actually managed not to ding it unlike just about every other boat I've had since.

Sound thanks all. I'm not into boat work at all so it's hard to tell how much work she needs.

Depends on who your local boat builder is. If it's a guy doing fishing boats and odds and sods in a local marina, then I'd think twice.

I want someone with experience of racing dinghies, at least they'll understand the finish you're looking for. Someone who will colour match and leave you with a high polish finish (or grip additive on the deck).  It's not rocket science, but requires a bit more thought that sticking on some fibreglass matt with polyester resin or bunging with marine filler like you might with a tender.

If you get anything which is structural I'd definitely look for someone with prior experience in mustos.

Some small gel coat scrapes you should be able to fix yourself. Anything more than that then I wouldn't try learning on something as nice as a musto!
