Just found out Rooster don't do sails any more. Any advice on a good alternative. I have an ancient boat and only club Rae so no need for a true Laser sail

Msb sailboats do good ones as well.
Most at our club who use replicas have them.

Do you know that you will not be sailing a Laser (R) if you use a "replica" sail for racing?

Well yes that's perfectly true but you will be voting with your feet and any "contract" is only valid if both parties are willing.

Given the designer of the Laser is suing the builder of Lasers in Europe does anyone really know what constitutes a "legal" Laser anymore?

One with a Laser sail is a good bet. But in terms of the OP, I'm sure he isn't looking for a homily, but a sail. Sounds like there are plenty of options out there.

The fact that the OP asked the question suggests a serious racing campaign isn't on the cards. So, why make such a discouraging comment? I assume you are also an enthusiast for signs outside sailing clubs saying Keep Out! Members Only.

Cameron,
Ignore the 'out of class' stuff, this is still a democracy and you may purchase your sporting goods from where you wish.
The guys at LP are unconcerned about the pattern market, or that's what they told me at the show.
Not sure if Insails are still trading, had a couple of those, they are OK.
