Anyone know of any cheap sources of carbon pole to be used for a fly away jib stick? 2 metres in length. Thinking of making my own.

I've tried fishing rods/poles before and they seem to bend a lot!

Old fishing rod from a jumble/boot sale. Get a chunky one.

I have used a carbon fish landing net handle but you may struggle to get one long enough. They seem to be more rigid and you can buy them separately.

Or find an Enterprise sailor who is making himself a new one, and offer to take his old one off his hands!
