I'll try and dig out pictures from the Blackwater. I know of a sailing club where the seals sit on the moored Day Boats!!

A bloke told me that he "tacked" a basking shark into an enterrpise fleet at prestwick in the 1970s........shouting "shark" as it followed their foils into the slow moving race...

fishy tale that one.....but you do get basking sharks in the firth of clyde

I havn't seen basking sharks in the north sea but we have been known for many wales to get beached and loads of seals to be swimming around.

Whats better though, I was sailing in the Canarie Islands and dolphins were jumping around the boat and a giant turtle swan by, it was amaizing

I Remember being 'buzzed' by a school of dolphins in the Thames estuary (off Herne Bay) whilst moving a race mark during the Albacore Worlds in the late eighties and a few years later having a game 'peepo' with a seal whilst rowing out to the committee boat.

we get dolphins here all the time, also lots of fish, jellyfish and sharks. last year i saw a bull shark jump up out of the water and spalsh back down on its side. pretty cool.good game for the summer out here is go out for a sail in the harbour and see how many jellyfish you can collect on your centerboard by the time you come back in.

Just to prove that Scotland is inhabitable for wildlife at this time of year. Some pics I took (on my phone sorry about quality) as we motored out of Rhu Marina in our departement yacht yesterday.

And on the way back in
