ive got an old condor, the mainsail is way past its best, this is a boat i use for blasting, not racing, just wondering if there are any condor drivers out there who have used the sail from another boat as a substitute for the originals, if so what ?. It would also be good to make contact with any fellow owners of these great old cats.

Fantastic boats!  Do you know what the sail number is?

You might try contacting Andy Webb (google Webb sails) for suitable sails.  The main fleets were in Essex and north Kent - you might find some old boats there still.  I sailed 915, 1005 and 1058 (1058 was a hurricane 4.9 - same boat, modified rig) with my dad back in the day.

I had a hurricane 4.9 (condor with big rig and twin trap) good boat, great fun

Your boat could be built by Brian Piggott. The people to get in contact with are Andy Webb, AW sailboats (already said), and Grant Piggott, they both used to sail them.

There's no such thing as bad day on the water!!

Hi porky man 926 would be at least 25 years old maybe even 30/35 think it would have been made before brian was building them (but i might be wrong) probably a barnes boat his son nick is still around but webby would be your best bet for spares/sails.

I think 926 would have been built around 1982-3, but I can't remember who the builder was then, sorry.  Barnes sounds right.
