Matt - i agree, this is why i rounded to 1/2min.  might even do it for a 1/4min but might be hard work for the RO

On my spreadsheet it's going to give you 30sec head start in 1.5hr race

The rounding thing really annoys me as it means I usually get the same start as a Furball (we are just a little slower). The annoying thing is that unless it's honking you have to get a MASSIVE start and first beat to get in front and defend for the rest of the race!

Not a comment on your sheet... just had to get it off my chest.

Thanks for that, i get the same results as you

I've developed this spreadsheet hopefully to be full proof  you only need to fill in the yellow boxs; slowest boat (select from drop down list),  race length & race start time.  it does the rest for you

Alex,

We normally run 90min pursuit races so my excel sheet is all based on 90mins races where a Topaz Uno would be 11mins behind a mirror. I have changed my spreadsheet to work off of 120mins and I get 15.05 mins for a Topaz Uno so would round to 15mins. I generally only round to 1min intervals otherwise there are to many sound signals!
