I've heard seperately that pulleys on the jib clew will help my small crew to cope - will these be legal for class racing?

Hi Hector,
from the RS500 class rules 

1.3.14       A  purchase may be incorporated in the jib sheet system (maximum velocity ratio 2:1) using the existing attachment points; for this purpose additional blocks may be introduced at the clew of the jib.
