It hardly compares to big waves and exciting winds, but this is just a normal winters day at Burghfield in the centre of the UK. Mind you, the previous week we had over 100 dinghies on the water in the middle of January: 65 for normal Sunday sailing and the rest for kids training. The video should stream to your PC, but you might need a broadband connection to see it properly - sorry. |

You sea sailors can see from that vid what inland sailing is all about. Our little lake is 900ft up in the peak district surrounded by hills. Now we get real gusts ! It's not just hiking that matters, its getting back in quick as well.
