Very funny charlie ha ha. I feel deeply upset the you could mock me in my hour of need, thank god both the alb and the boss are built like tanks and nothing was damaged.

Note to self - Make sure that I tie my own boat down next time

Im guessing that charlies boat, that was sitting on the bank not tied down and with the sails loose in the boat was completely fine?

Yes owain, chandler is very lucky  as always, olly is unlucky again, poor lad but as i said when him and iain tied them down why not point the boats in the direction of the common wind direction SW but they know better

Tug Boat on the Thames, Thursday.  Notice the spray being kicked off the waves!

Not so bothered about the weather now, more worried about containers lurking slightly below the water surface in our area now.

Hmm, would post pictures of 3 Solo's piled ontop of each other and a 5 tonner on its side (the wind was that strong?) if the forum was working properly...

True about the containers - although they've probably not made it all the way up to the Gareloch yet!  Would make a mess of a 49er at full tilt downwind though.

Not too worried about the Gareloch, we're sailing out of Plymouth Sound but sailing as members of HSC out of Port .... Reckon the chances of a container coming in past the breakwater won't be too high and the relevant port authorities and Coastguard will be on top of things. Still a bit of a concern though, stray container and any type of boat don't generally tend to mix.
