Ballyholme- go at your peril , you will never want to leave  , Dores Inn - Loch Ness ,

by the sounds of it  Minnis, mumbles, stone and Turner Island worth a trip

needless to say GWSC will be revisted ,

Hope all Hurricane sailors will come back to Ballyholme next summer if the Class Association can make up its mind about European Champs. If you don't sail Hurricanes - beg, steal or borrow and come over.

It is the cat sailors themselves that define the event as much as the club. At the 2003 H59 Europeans we took £3000 one night across the bar. At last year's Laser Irish Nationals the figure was £300 for about the same number of competitors. Of course, it's not all about the beer.

Ballyholme gets my vote

6 metre diving 10 metres from the van, Nitrox compressor on site plus club dive boats – Heaven.

Guinness and Murphy’s on tap – Heaven.

Sailing waters were darn great as well – Heaven.

Members = most excellent crowd – Heaven.

ET’s singing – Sure nowhere can have it all?

2nd Canvey = Not far off on all but the diving would be crap – 1 metre deep with 1mm vis!

My mistake - it is all about the beer.

Best club I have been to recently is Swords, just north of Dublin. The sailing area is the smallest that cats could reasonable sail in, it's only 4 ft deep and the committee boat is the strangest looking vessel afloat.

But the sailing was great and the social awesome. Many thanks to all a SSBC!

One of the best clubs for pure crack and racing has to be ballyholme. A close second would have to blesso.

As for the committee boat in swords we all have crosses to bare. Some say we should sink it but then it would be still in the way in only four foot of water.

Thanks Biddy, You were always a great Blesso supporter.

(sorry about the above - hit wrong key)

Ah, but Biddy, we can't put on a Friday night "cabaret" like you and Eddie!

No offence intended re the committee boat or sailing area. Donnie McKay 06 was awesome!

(and the "2 eejits" still haven't rerigged their boat since it came back up north.)

You've got a great buzz going over there. That's some "Roadside Artwork" on the M4.
Wife is the real Rugby fan, but I am being dragged to Donnybrook on Saturday to watch Leinster do some "Dragon" slaying
