We all payed pretty much the day rates to sail that day so I am not sure what your problem is.

I think If I had to pay £160 for a membership I'd be pretty annoyed if I wasn't allowed to use all of the facilities of the club every day is the point being made. And one I can respect. But having said that most of my sailing is done at opens. So I would be annoyed if I wasn't allowed to do so considering the investment I make to do it. It's two different ways of doing sailing and one can easily exist with the other Just if people get resentful of the others is the problem. there really is no need for it. Especially if there is space to do both activities at once, as seems to be the case at graham, though I myself have never been there it seems like everyone was catered for.

Not thought of it that way and agree.

Everyone was catered for as far as I am aware, and it was a great event (thanks to all involved - you did a good job) which is why I am confused as to why this discussion has got this far.

Again, without trying to attack your comment, I have stated a number of times that they are my views and my views alone. Please don't feel you can't visit the club because I don't enjoy being shoved up the end of the lake. I only voiced that opinion in opposition to some visitors comments that I, a fully paid up member, shouldn't be allowed to sail on my home water beacuse they want to. But, I am also a realist and can acknowledge that there are sailors out there that enjoy sailing at Grafham whilst not being local enough to become regulars. I just resent it when member give up their own time to cater for a large, diverse fleet, only to find out that some later voiced displeasure about thing that were out of the clubs control.

Shadowman - Look forward to it! Mines a Kronenbourg.

P.S. Cheers Strawberry
