Ive seen kites blow out in the past... but your the first person ive spoken too who seems to think its more fun with a wrecked kite in the bag than an intact one up and spanking you downwind...

Isis - there's so much wind that the Spinni rips out - actually happened to us last year. it was a really old kite that we used for practise and it was quite windy. shredded itself to bits, dunking us in the sea. the hard part was pulling it back into the chute when the downhaul patches had ripped out.

BNS - only one of my boats has a spinni: the Laser 2

Im curious about your sig sailorguy... surely once you rip out the spinni the potential for fun is somewhat decreased?
