Did you notice there was one Laser 2 up? It used to say in the class rules you could do that, and back in the 70's me and my mate Angie often raced my laser together. Bout 13-14 stone, the pair of us together! Great fun, tho you couldn't tack quickly Suprising how techniques change: no hand over hand sheeting, no dagger grip on the extensions, people gybing facing back... blimey! They had wooden dagger boards too- I had one of them on mine, cos the glass ones used to swell up. Laser sent me two glass ones then gave up, ang gave me a wooden one! 10937 it was, a green one. |

when i was in lasers only a few years ago, the class rules then stated that you are allowed no more than 2 persons racing a laser, so i guess you still can! |

A lot of things broke on early Lasers: booms especially! I guess in those days the boom went first and saved the mast... Think I got mine in '75 |
