The technique is funny to watch. The guy that makes a gybe in that wind facing backwards is pretty funny. Why do they insist on throwing the boat into gybes so fast? Edited by m_liddell |

I've been told that the top femail sailors tack backward to keep the greatest proportion of their body weight as far forward as posisble thought the tack. Men tack facing forwards as they have greater body weight higher up. Not sure quite hw much difference it makes. |
