an mx-ray would be pretty cool actually! But if it breaks then you have a real problem because they don't make the parts for them any more.  Oh yeah, and kite-surfing is awesome, better than windsurfing, and would be a great way to get a cheap adrenaline rush and it can also be applied to so many other sports, try snow-kiting for a buzz!!!!!!

For that sort of money you will only be able to afford a penultimate 14 and they are fat and a bit barge like. Probably good fun when its windy but you don't get the same feeling of speed as you do in a cherub, and by then at 12stone you might be a bit light to really handle all that rag.

I already windsurf, and I ve said far to may nasty things about kite surfers over the last few years. The buggie looks fun though.

Im not sure but i may be a little on the small side for 5o5.

Im already a big cherub fan.

What do people think about the int14? Only ever sailed a 70s one with a ridulus symetric spiny.

well as it's a kite flying exercise this should do it, with money for a Cherub / MX Ray  to spare!

Consider yourself burned......

It's a fair point though. I personally find cherub sailing more exciting across a wider wind range than windsurfing though. It starts getting costly if you have to start buying a range of sails and boards.

I hate to say it and I understand anyone who burns me for this, but..

If I only had £1000 and I was looking for speed. I would struggle not to be tempted by a kitesurfer or a windsurfer. Low maintanance, fast and fun. Less fun than proper sailing but probably more bang for your buck.

If your only club racing, The Laser 5000! good ones are aound £750-£1000 with lots of kit!

They still have a  circuit but not many do it.There are lots sailing at club level though. We have 3 regulary sailing at our club, and they are great fun, and don't break!

 I know I'm biased! (but I haven't got one anymore )
