Hadn't seen it with the kite up. Looks a lot of fun.

Form a purely aesthetic view point though - that flat kite sucks!

Not sure if you guys have got this one?...........

Robin Knox Johnston is having a go at the Velux 5 Oceans Race this year, best of luck to him. At 67 yrs you'd think a solo round the world race would be beyond him, hope for the older ones yet.
The 5 oceans race website has a good quality documentary of the 2002-3 race. De-laminating hulls, broken masts and pitch poles around cape horn.

For my first go at headcam (in a moderate at best easterly) have a go at this.

Imagine what we'll get with a bit of breeze - last week was TOO much breeze.

Ah...skiff sailing and punk music (The Buzzcocks), what could be better.
No Jack, Elton and George Michael are not better.

Some footage taken last weekend of me helming Grumble and Grunt, a "Woof" design 12' skiff recently imported into the UK.  Shot at Weston SC, really nice conditions.  No3 rig on the boat, although No2 would have been more fun!! Still waving the daggerboard around a bit though!!

Sadly we don't have enough deep water, dinghy park space or athletic ability to handle t-foils, trapezes & assymetric kites at our club. So this contribution isn't up to the standard of previous posts.

However, as you'll see, keeping toppers, solos & finns upright in a breeze is beyond most of us & any clip showing a lymington scow planing captures a rare & beautiful moment
