Are they Quick? No not really for their size. Are they fun to sail...you bet! 8knts ish upwind, 25knts was the fastest we got out of her going the other way but 15-20 was more common.

As for what did all the crew do... I still have no idea! but there was a sh*t load of string that needed pulling on a regular bassis when the course was never more than 800m long!!!

The chap that bought one of the Penzance boats is called Phil O'neil. Not sure if he's still got her. Might be worth getting hold of him via Penzance SC or Mounts Bay SC, he's a member of both I think.

Dont know who's got the other one. I know they were VERY cheap though. I've seen them on ebay too from time to time for about £1500.

She looked in pretty good nick last time I saw her just about to go out.

sadly only one boat has turned up for the racing in the SBR Class

Just reviving an old thread, several people have mentioned seeing ultras in
very sorry states knocking around boat parks and fields, does anyone have
anymore information on them? Would be an interesting class for BLYM!
