He does seem to have a lot of self belief, but while he seems quite willing to die for the sake of not having an epirb etc, i'm surprised his wife or other friends would be that comfortable with it.

how many miles do you reckon he'll get before the coast guard have to go and rescue him?

that guy must be absoloutley mad.

does he seriously think the boat isnt going to fill up with water and if it does has he got a pump, he didnt say anything about that in the article. how will he "rescue himself" if he gets into difficulties, i give him 3 weeks if the weather is nice and about 3 days in the southern ocean if he makes it that far.
