Hot Cakes!
Keen-eyed readers of the UK Cherub web pages will have noticed the second hand boat list is getting slimmer due to demand outstripping supply. This can leave Cherub newbies without a suitable choice of boats to get them started, which is bad! Over recent months a lot of our second-hand Cherubs have gone to our new super keen French fleet, which is fantastic news for the growth of the UK Cherub, as well as improving our supply of good tasting wine and cheese! There has also been a sudden rush in the UK market, so with this in mind, as well as the general up keep of our records, could everyone please help find these lost boats: Design: Italian Bistro / Number: 2646 / Name: "Madge Allsop" Last seen at Dale sailing centre in Pembrokeshire, possibly owned by someone named Paul. There is also a lead in the Cardiff / Barry area. Design: Italian Bistro / Number: 2661 / Name: "This Way Up" Last seen in Bristol belonging to Mark James and Sarah Armstrong, both teachers. The trail went a bit cooler when they went to Egypt for a year, and cold when we heard a rumour they had gone to New Zealand. These boats would make a perfect first Cherub - so if you've seen anything, please get in touch! Log on to the UK Cherub web site ( http:// www.sailingsource.com/cherub ) and use our committee email form if you have any information that you think may help. Or PM me here. Cheers. Jack |

There is currently some debate about exactly what it is. But the current favourite is that it's a Fartpants design. |

It isnt an italian bistro, as the owner thinks in the ad
we think its a Fartpants, and that seems to match with the seller and sail number but in that case its foam sandwich, not ply as stated in the ad and thats not something too easily confused |

From what I can see in those tiny pictures, it looks quite like it must be composite to me. In the second pic look at the inside of the gunwales. Alsoe look at the moulding around the space frame where it meets the gunwales. Edited by Strawberry |

IT'S OFFICIAL Cherub 2638 - "Utter Madness" The class has officially given this boat the thumbs up. It's a decent design, comes with loads of equipment, and would be a fantastic first Cherub! The class also believes that this boat is made of foam, not ply. As far as I could see, 5 people had a Cherub in their Dream 10 boat park, who don't currently own one. So what a chance to own your dream boat Any potential Cherubers get bidding! Edited by Strawberry |
