Identify dinghy please

The only reference I can find on the net,is the Topper Omega, which this one is not. Where can I find more information on this particular one? This one is quite old and it was built in Cape Town. Hasnt't been in the water for at least 10 years.

"Going by the sail insignia the boat appears to be an Omega dinghy.

I have a very old book on dinghy recognition and it states:

OMEGA - an open general pupose dinghy sailed mainly in California and Texas. Designed by Ted Carpentier, this two-hander has a round bottomed hull in GRP and a Bermudan sloop rig. She carries a large jib LOA 13' 7" (4.14m), Beam 5' 4" (1.63m), Sail Area 108 sq. ft. (10.03 sq.m.).

I realise that the boat in your pictures appears to have been cold moulded but the sail number is '7'. Most of the older boats were shaped and made in wood before GRP hulls were moulded. My book gives no indication as to when the boats were introduced. The sail insignia is identical to the one in my book. I hope that this helps."
