You forget how crap the 70's were and just remember the good bits..like...um, no on second thoughts I can't remember any good bits! Glad I'm not the only old git on the forum, I loved the prog. Thinking about it, we did have class racing at club level in those days, and one class at my club was the Moth, before they got too extreme for normal people! Could do with some more of that now. Must go, it's time for me nap... |

Nice one Dave. Those northern birds are a game lot.
Awoke this morning feeling invigorated and ready for the day, having experienced zero grief last night. As I am an "old git" (but obviously very attractive to young and old women alike) Life on Mars touched a few memories. Great story (Glenister makes me laugh out loud), music made me smile (and prompted me to dig out an old Groundhogs album), and I was once the proud owner of a Mk3 Cortina 2000 GT. Bright yellow with black vinyl roof. Huge sliding sunroof that allowed you to stand up an drive. The seventies were mostly crap, but there were some bloody good albums about. |

Oh and btw, I like your style Pierre, pure class. I thought Life on Mars was excellent.

When such hard decisions have to be made a train journey normally helps to clear my mind. |

And of course don't forget the two veg as well. Often neglected and deserve more attention sometimes.
Wife has birthday today, so am cooking beef wellington. She is back from work early, so greeted her at the door wife a glass of champers and she is now on the 3rd. Hopefully all done and dusted and everything will be hunky dory for 9pm as I will be suffering from Life on Mars withdrawal symptoms at this time. |

March the 20th is a very important day. In fact I have several days marked on my calender that have a similar theme. Mark has made the classic mistake of mentioning it to his wife TOO far in advance, this will give her plenty of time to find excuses not to cook steak for tea. |

Yeah I had a dodgy pint in there once, made me fall over and miss the train home! Never gone in there since. Next week leave Farringdon, turn left towards Clerkenwell Green. At the lights turn left and follow your nose untill you reach the Griffin. About a ten minute walk at the most. This is easily the best pub in the area, top totty in there too |
