Does anyone know what material progrip actually is? I buy a fair amount of rubbery/plastic/foamy stuff for work (vibration damping and environmental sealing) and can't believe what it costs from chandlers. If knew what it was I'm sure I could get it cheaper. |

I think it is a very dense neoprene.

I don't know what it is yet so I don't know. I don't think it's neoprene though.

I doubt neoprene too but I cant help with what it might be...
Could you get samples of anything that sounds likely and test it? It doesnt mater if its not exactly the same stuff as long as it has the right properties and who knows, you could even discover something better! |

Depends on the type you buy. Most peeps use the glue on stuff as its a bit cheaper and more reliable.
It is a type of neoprene, just a different polymer to wet suit material. |
