bahh, all part of the fun... at least its not a long trip around the forestay

Sounds like a comment of someone who has never pitchpoled from a boat that is being driven hard in 25 knots plus ... most people think that if they have broached out following a small nosedive then they have experienced the issues will a full on crash; no true ...

Much as I like high speed adventures I am generally not keen to go round the front at high speed - it hurts.

When it gets over 25 knots I generally switch to saftey mode as it all gets a bit wild at that point.

Your right, Ive yet to experiance a pichpole from the wire at 25 knots, (~18knots in the moth is my best so far but im working on it) My point was doing it in that thing you have a lot less distance to fly before you hit something, as opposed to say an 18 where theres plenty of distance for gravity to really get hold of you.

but isnt this just going towards windsurfing??

a little, yes.... but how many windsurfers have kites?

Oh, and that topper 'chop is class!!

I've wiped out on the 17 from the wire with the kite up in a good F6 (too much plate down did me in) and it really is not fun

Wanna learn to Ski - PM me..

I wonder how ofter the question of whether to risk a port tack start would come up in a fleet of these....

Shotgun...looks like that 49er sailor is taking a piss off his wing to me...

Isis, having sailed one of these around a club course (ok bits of it before getting blown wildly downwind) it's amazing how the call for "water" suddenly loses the traditional answer of "no water"...
