Lol yeah i had a bit of sense then......but after that mindblowingly fast experince and a nasty pitchpole , i have never been the same, hense me being slightly crazy in the cherub aswell and only doing somrthing about our speed when we are nearly parallel with the water . By the way Ben, lol well done for getting far enough back becuase we were going pretty fast with the nose out a long way, when i did that i nearly lost my footing and went in lol!

Not everyone stays at Chew all their life Ed I'm probably going to be doing some nice coastal sailing next year, you get waves then! And why did you come in? Was france much different before he went out in that?

Hmm yeah that day wasnt that windy, well not as windy as when i was out in the F8 ON MY OWN . I was quite scared actually cos i was the only single hander out on the hole lake, the others were trimarans and soe feva or something! i just couldnt beat which made coming in difficult!

Shoulda just gybed and gone straight for it  especially as we still managed to ground anyway! Think I've narrowed my choice down to 4000 or 800, cos the 9er would be too expensive to fix anyway from what my mate was telling me! and probably look at getting an old cherub or something to mess around with - or jump waves in

lol france if I'd realised you didn't know that I'd have said! I was too busy trying to keep that kite trimmed to look what you were doing Another trick is to let some kicker off - you want to be sure you can bear away when you need to! (found that one out in a Laser 2000 when it was very windy  ) The only problem with the asymetric is that you have to steer the opposite way to if you were using 2 sails - i.e. bear away to stop yourself death rolling, head up to flatten out! Just glad you couldn't see the look on my face
