Ive just re-done the deck on my moth and can report that 2 coats of Interdeck non-slip paint, applied with a textured roller is still far too slippy...

You can buy different types of surf wax. It is designed for water temperature.

Put a layer of tropical water wax on first then a layer of whatever the water temperature is where you sail on top.  ( such as cold water for winter, cool for spring ets.) It will last for ages and you will stick like glue. If it is a hot summer then just stick with the tropical.

Every now and again ( when it gets too dirty) just scrape it off and start again.

I agree with sailor girl it smells great.

Sex wax only works whne it stays cold, if it hets got you just get a gooey mess!

Sand or suger in the mix is good option!

sex wax is the way forward. I had an issue where my pro grip fell off so i waxed up  basically the whole boat and was blown away by the grippyness! It truely is amazing. You may as well buy a few blocks of the stuff as it is only about £1 a block and then apply before you go each time. I swear by it now, never going back to pro grip.

thanks for the replies, i use kneepads, except  last weekend when i forgot them, and found out how abrasive the deck is!!!   i still slip though, althoough it might have been on all the skin I was leaving.

Never thought of the wax, just off to find a surfing mate to blag some!!

 thanks  Mark

What about investing in some knee pads if you're on your knees a lot of the time
