K well im not soo sure about the feva a coupl eof friends of mine just borrowed one for a day and beat two of the feva's top sailors hands down. They may be good learning boats but u need to move into somethign else to get good competition.

I took out a 11 year old girl who had only jus started sailing in a F4/5
in a feva and getting it arced up on those long broad reaches was relatively wick upto my expectations, boats who were apparantly a lot faster on py coudln't touch us. I also believe they have a fairly high nationals turn out dont they?? |

Mind you, that's a good idea to exploit... Anyone knows of any fleet with hardly any boats so I could pretend to be good at last?? |

Go to http://www.rclaser.org.uk and buy a remote controlled Laser (no
building required). There is a well organised Travellers' Trophy series around the country. There are also some well organised races at various other locations - it's all on the web site. There are also regular postings of results on the Y&Y web site including the recent National Championships. Have a go! Join some real hot shots. It's quite a challenge. |
