Those 470's do look great.  That vid would entice anyone into them - possibly even GRF!

The skill of sailing them in a blow with a symetric kite amazes me.

Yep - 470 is a great boat. Nothing flash, nothing trendy, just excellent performance, straqight forward and a joy to sail.

by the way thanks for the advice on the Mirror a while back. My little'n is really enjoying sailing our Mirror. Out on 20kts + in Cornwall the other week with him helming a cracking 3 sailer. That'll be only the second time he's sailed with a kite up!

Brilliant, glad he likes it, probably the only boat he could helm in that much with all three sails!  Get him on the circuit

Well it was doing a lot of leaping, kind of reminded me of a Dolphin!

I think next year will be the earliest for the Mirror circuit. We need to find him a crew. And he needs a bit more time in the boat. As he is much more confident in his Oppy I think we'll build his skills up there and get the club racing going in the Mirror before taking to the road. But it's on the horizon for sure.
