Good advice, Blobby... Got to look after the younger members on this forum.
Still, I thought Dave's answer about the stocks was quite funny. I wonder if Littlewavedaisy's had a school fête, and asked Daddy to provide the "stuck in the stocks" attraction??

The fete (don't know how to do the french thing above the e ) is on the 2nd  July at St. Marks School in Staplefield.  There is a chance that I may end up with my head and hands stuck in my own creation.  But I have a cunning plan.  You see I have also built a step so as the little kiddies can also fit themselves in for a soaking .

Pete, old chap, have you thought about investing in old boats?  Do them up and sell 'em for a profit. The advantage of this business plan is that you already have some stock to get the ball rolling!

Would it be acceptable for my friend to demand the loan of his friends boat whilst he is unable to sail due to baby sitting duties?  Should he point out that whilst the boat may be his pride and joy he will get a sense of enormous well being for helping out a mate in desperate circumstances??

Are these friends in Singapore or do we have friends in common? It sounds so familiar...... Uncanny really!
