RS600 Boom?

Hi,

My 600 still has a old style boom on it and i struggle to pull enough cunni on because it can't pass through the boom when eased/off (like on the newer style ones).

Does anyone have one lying around and willing to part with? 

If not, would it be wise to cut the gap bigger on mine? I doubt it, because it doesn't look as reinforced as the new ones, and would probably not be covered under insurance if i do.

going outside the boom means going right around 2 bloody great jaws the get bolted onto the mast. this would shred the block as it went past the jaws.

Im not sure what the problem with the old boom is, i have a spare old boom that has hairline cracks around the rivets where the mainsheet blocks are tied to so i dont use it, but the jaws on that seem to be pretty much the same as on my new boom.
