Wow what a great video! I bet wind/kitesurfing for that distance hurts!

Ditto.  That's fantastic.  I would eBay my pet cat for a go on one of those Orma 60s.  Buy it now, no reserve, the lot.

That long distance boarding reminds me of this, the best bit of 18' skiff/board/kite racing footage on the web, the Ronstan Bridge to Bridge race.  Apologies if this is a repost, I have not been following this thread.

Anyone know what the soundtrak is?  It''s really cool, kinda somewhere in between Leftfield and Groove Armada...

I now it is not exactly sailing related but it came off the 12foot skiff website.

Don't watch if you are a nervous flyer....

I flew into Wellington, and it is like that.

Going to the sailing club each day, we had to drive past the end of the runway, and we'd always watch this when it was windy (which was almost every day really).

Yes it really is like that.

Mind you, the day we flew in it wasnt that wind and it was OK, but we were very very very lucky. A friend of mine used to fly into Wellington regularly and it is normaly the case that the captain will explain to the passengers what is about to happen before they land.

Whilst we where sailing there we drove past the aiport each day and saw what it would normally be like. After all it is "windy wellington".

Not exactly video of the week, but it was our first Thursday Night last night
and one of the windsurfers Matt MacKenzie swanned about in a goat boat
filming the run up to the start of the 1st race of the spring evening series
and posted it on you tube.

Bit of an insite into our motely crew if you're interested. Not the breeziest of
nights but a fair few of us turned out..
