From the previous tack, the car had jammed to the side which the sail was setting on...... so halfway through the next tack, the jib didn't move to the right side and then a few split seconds later, we were drinking salt-water.

has anybody got any pictures of a 18 footer in no wind? cos all the pictures i have seen have been in loads of wind!!

Thing is an 18 looks pretty reasonable in not much wind because the big rig is so very big - given 6 nots of breeze and going upwind at 5 knots you've already got nearly 10 knots across the deck. |
