Longer roof rack bars. When I was young and had a mirror, we car topped that. The bars were a bit narrow, so my dad made up some wooden bars a bit longer that bolted tight to the original bars.

With a bit of thought, you could even design the extensions to have cut outs or fittings to hold the spars even more securely.

i put the 600 mast light end forward on the road trailer because if you put it the other way round you have a hole facing forwards catching all the flies and muck and filling the mast up. this is because i take the foot out of the mast before towing incase it falls out whilst towing, would be a bit annoying turning up to sail and finding the mast foot was on the M27 somewhere.
