If Brittania wins, what governing body will decide boats for next AC?

The winning team / yacht club. Not sure AC 75 will work in Solent chop but could be held anywhere, Grangemouth, Teesside, Bucklers Hard or wherever Jim has some good waterside real estate

The winning Yacht Club (Club, NOT Team) of the America’s Cup match has the right to decide the rules for the next contest, including the types of boats to be used, the location of the race course and when the race will take place. INEOS Team UK represents the Royal Yacht Squadron. Edited by Chris_H - 01 Feb 21 at 8:06am |

Doesn't the challenger of record have some say in it all, too? Michael Fay and the big boat v Catamaran and all that.

Know Teeside quite well, where would they race? Only large calm stretch I can think of is the winding hole for ships, in the river Tees itself.

If you are going to pursue the Ineos aspect, how about Grangemouth if St Nicholas has released them from lockdown by then.
No doubt, if it does happen, we would end up with a couple of dots on the horizon somewhere in the Solent |

Pretty sure Luna Rossa had input into the concept this time round, too. |

I think Portsmouth might be a bit miffed if it went somewhere other than the Solent.
