Pretty sure Luna Rossa had input into the concept this time round, too.

If you are going to pursue the Ineos aspect, how about Grangemouth if St Nicholas has released them from lockdown by then.
No doubt, if it does happen, we would end up with a couple of dots on the horizon somewhere in the Solent

Know Teeside quite well, where would they race? Only large calm stretch I can think of is the winding hole for ships, in the river Tees itself.

Doesn't the challenger of record have some say in it all, too? Michael Fay and the big boat v Catamaran and all that.

The winning Yacht Club (Club, NOT Team) of the America’s Cup match has the right to decide the rules for the next contest, including the types of boats to be used, the location of the race course and when the race will take place. INEOS Team UK represents the Royal Yacht Squadron.

The winning team / yacht club. Not sure AC 75 will work in Solent chop but could be held anywhere, Grangemouth, Teesside, Bucklers Hard  or wherever Jim has some good waterside real estate

Fairly confident that claims of a 10% increase in Prada speed are nonsense - that would 2.5 - 3 minutes on atypical AC race ?

Its nice to see how gen gentlemanly everyone is at present - not sure that this will continue when things get tight ? Still - Terry H and Dean B were very gracious.

Dean B got rinsed at most starts - time for him to step aside ?

It must be a shame for the Auklanders and anyone who has managed to travel there (and those of us watching on TV) to see so little racing - with only 3 challengers its a fraction of what it has been in the past.

Hopefully after this event the powers that be will realise that the AC needs to be more attainalble do we end up with 8 or 10 challengers ?
