There are communities in what we call the third world that have embraced virtual currencies and mobile phones, apparently the street traders love it, reduced levels of crime and robbery dramatically.

Would be interesting to see what would happen with hyper inflation, picture Germany after the first World War, wheel barrows full of cash, mobile phone full of bit coins.

Thanks to Nigel at Burghfield I've found something of an all-in-one solution.
SumUp offer a 3G Card reader with built in SIM, Unlimited Data, (as well as WiFi) so you don't need to use a mobile to connect to. No contract, no data plan.
Spot on.
(For the technocrime investigators among you, SumUp don't accept Bitcoin any longer  LOL )

So...I realise that this was a joke...but...there can't be that many mobile phones full of bitcoin. There are only 21million of them. Like gold, the supply is limited. 
There are lots of cryptocurrencies, but then there are lots of commodities.

Always think of 'pyramid schemes' when I look at 'crypto currency' buy Gold at least you have it in hand, some spotty Russian youth with a laptop isn't going to wipe out your Bank.
