Very difficult to be Covid safe if contactless is not used

BRASS: Cheers. The multiple devices and teaching technophobes is actually my biggest fear  LOL

OINKS: Thanks for the suggestion, i'll do that  Thumbs Up

There's a little self-interest in this one as I never ever carry cash anymore and the only place that I've needed to do so is at my clubs. Running out of coinage for a morning Bacon Bap is as annoying as a blatant Port/Starboard in my eyes so yeah, i need to crack on with this.

Cheers all for the input - and no mention of PY banditry when it comes to queue placing either! Nice one.

It can be done.

It was actually our arch-technophobe that introduced it.

I know our club is discussing it, but I admit I can't help on the technical stuff. Reading with interest, though.

Am an definitely not one of that ‘ brigade’ lol. I am more than happy to use my cards all the time and am more than happy to use them in any shop that asks me , on the other hand I do make a point of not using shop again if I am told they only except cards
Because this shift to cashless disenfranchises the poorest in our society  . Also in a time when loads of people will become unemployed and a proportion of them will get into debt , you are removing what all debt charities say it the best and easiest way of budgeting, using cash .
I am not against to move to cashless only to move to make it compulsory.
Cashless has plenty of up sides but it does have downsides too.

The shop is cashless because of money passing though so many covid infected hands, supposedly. Hopefully not permanent!

Cashless society will have a major impact on crime, almost the equivalent of street lamps (Google it). Getting rid of £50 notes is another crime reducer.

Doesn't it just move the crime?

Probably, but would remove a substantial amount of knuckle dragger crime, drug dealers would certainly struggle, very difficult to hide thousands of pounds in the Bank.
