Hi, My Hornet has a wire halyard that is breaking, so over the winter I want to replace it with a Dyneema one. What diameter and type would be good? The wire one had a highfield lever. I'd like to replace this with a purchase of some sort with the halyard coming out of the mast. What sort of arrangement will work well?

My old fashioned view is that wire shows its age and some broken strands give you a clear message that its needs changing. My experience with Dynema ( light and effective ) is that when it breaks it just does it.
And with an open mast gate Hornet that is extra bad news. |

Thanks, you've made a good point, I'll mull it over. Plenty of time.
